So last week I decided to work on a photo essay I'm doing. I've become really interested in Urban Exploration and decided to explore an abandoned building here in Macon which I'm calling "Greenville Steel." I've named it this because of the writing on one of the steel I beams supporting whats left of the ceiling. I doubt that that is the real name of the building when it was in operation though and is most likely the company who made the beam. In any case I took about 2 gigs worth of pictures which once converted to HDR and tonemapped turns out to be about 76 final images. I've uploaded a pretty nice chunk of them but I still have plenty left to post on here. Deviant art doesn't lend itself well to large volumes of new work.

I also have a few of Woo's Pharmacy which is located near Mercer University. Closed a long time ago it stands as an example of forgotten potential.

Keep an eye out soon for uploads from my exploration of the famous abandoned grain elevator here in Macon and the surrounding train yard hidden in the brush right next door. Personally I think it would make a nice little park if someone would mow it.
